Building a Pathway to Independence

Empowering Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to Build Skills and Confidence for a Fulfilling, Independent Life

A Word From Our Founder

Founded Out of the Desire to do More

After spending  years working with individuals of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities, founder and CEO Kendra McManus recognized a significant gap in programs for adults. She saw the need for a program that would provide practical vocational and life skill training that would improve the lives of the participants she would serve.

In June 2016, Kendra McManus turned her vision into reality by opening The Roost Training Center.

Since opening its doors, The Roost Training Center has become a welcoming home for many adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The center continues to focus on teaching concrete life skills, helping students gain independence and confidence in their daily lives.
